I conducted the Theatre Workshop. :D Although it could have been better, I pat myself on the back for a good first time teaching theatre. I just have to get used to it. :p But I think the kids had fun. I hope they learned something. And I hope there'll still be a Theatre workshop next year. ;) But mostly, this was an HB day (it's always an HB day on this day every year. Don't ask). One of them, Emma, got me this video from Jonathan B. Wright. JBW is one of the principal cast members of Spring Awakening. He plays Hanschen Rilow, "a twisted, sadistic, capitalist choir boy". He's one of my favorite in the cast, honestly, initially, because he's the hottest. HAHA. But really, he's a VERY talented actor and a fantastic singer. And I personally think that he isn't given a fair share of the spotlight as Hanschen in Spring Awakening. The role is honestly too small for his level of talent. Actually, we only really trained on the first two days. We "tried out" our training on the third and fourth, cause there were actually participants on those days. But our training continued because it was still a learning process for us. I love that camp is growing so much and being more professional since I was still a camper. It never used to be as hardcore as this, but now that it is, it's WAY much better in terms of being productive and efficient both on and off camp. But even apart from being professional, it's all still very fun and enjoyable. No doubt about it. I LOVE CAMP EXPLORE. He's the main understudy for Melchior as well as being a swing for all the other male roles except for Moritz (Otto, Georg, Ernst and Hanschen). He's also a stage ensemble member. Other than that, he plays Peter in the Studio Cast of Bare: a Pop Opera. Words can not fully articulate how much I look up to this person. I admire him on SO MANY levels. Not only is he a brilliant actor and singer, he is incredibly passionate at what he does and he personally incorporates himself in every project that he gets into. Other fans would say that they want him to marry them or be their boyfriend or something. But me, I want to be BEST FRIENDS with him. I want to have long intelligent conversations with him about theatre, music, art, film, photography, and practically anything and everything we can think of.
